Collagen is a versatile protein which is in high demand across a range of applications, such as cosmetics, food and beverages, and medical devices. The current manufacturing capacity within New Zealand is limited and unable to keep up with demand. There is reason to believe that collagen sourced from New Zealand would have provenance in the global market, but there’s a need to move quickly to take advantage of this situation to build a long term future for collagen processing and product manufacturing in NZ.
Join us at the inaugural NZ Collagen Symposium in March to discover more. This will be a two-day high-level educational, motivational and networking event targeted at industry. There are talks covering collagen’s market potential, the hurdles in getting to market and from research groups and manufacturers within NZ already already working in the field.
