New versions of safety footwear standards applicable to Europe, Canada and the US markets have been cleared and added to our scope of accreditation under IANZ.

These include:

Canadian Standard Z 195                     for safety footwear (updated)

European Standard EN 17249             for chainsaw resistant footwear (new at LASRA)

American Standard ASTM F 2413       for safety footwear (updated)

In the last year we have also added updates to:

EN 15090, a European and international standard for fire fighters footwear

EN 20345 (and its peers) for safety and protective footwear for the European market

AS/NZS 4821 Australian and New Zealand standards for footwear for fire fighters

These standards are critical for on-going ability of LASRA clients to gain export penetration into these significant markets. Reports from LASRA carrying the IANZ and ILAC logos allow instant acceptance of LASRA reports in our major markets to facilitate acceptance of goods. This becomes relevant in countries which subscribe to European, American and ISO published standards, and enables clients to push their highly technical product ranges into new markets and increase production volumes.
