Trumpler Group has announced it has joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) campaign as Value Chain Affiliates. It is the most recent leather chemical contributor to join.

Joining ZDHC underpins Trumpler’s commitment to a sustainable future by supporting the implementation of sustainable chemistry and innovation in order to protect stake holders throughout the supply chain, employees, the environment and customers.

Trumpler has been actively contributing to ZDHC for a number of years through its collaborative engagement and standard setting via the Leather Working Group and TEGEWA; reinforcing its commitment to officially becoming a contributor.

Trumpler was established in Worms, Germany in 1868 and is still under family ownership today. Currently, it employs approximately 400 people with subsidiaries in Spain, China, Italy, Mexico, France and Brazil. In 2019, Trumpler’s traditional strengths in wet end leather chemistry have been further augmented by the acquisition of the highly regarded leather finishing chemical company Langro-Chemie.
