Japanese design studio Nendo has created a single laser cut sheet, which can be distributed completely flat to customers. Upon receipt, customers fold and assemble the sheet into a three dimensional bag by joining a few rivets through the corresponding holes.

Nendo’ founder and chief designer, Oki Sato, said the approach simplifies the manufacturing process and minimises inventory and shipping costs, allowing broader selection of colours, sizes and shapes. The bags come in leather, which is dyed with plant-based tannins, or felt.
