All three associations that make up the leather industry’s Global Leather Coordinating Committee (GLCC) have agreed to support campaign group Leather Naturally’s initiative to promote leather to young consumers around the world. They have also agreed to encourage all the entities within their respective constituencies “to support the project financially where appropriate”.

The three member associations of the GLCC are the International Council of Tanners (ICT), International Council of Hides, Skins and leather Traders Associations (ICHSLTA) and the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS).

At its last meeting, which took place in Shanghai in the autumn of 2018, the GLCC invited Leather Naturally representatives to present the organisation’s plan for a global campaign to promote leather to Millennial and Generation Z consumers.
