Actor and activist Jaden Smith’s company JUST Water has teamed up with sneakers brand Allbirds to create two limited editions; the Allbirds Tree Topper high-top sneaker and the Tree Runner sneaker. The two companies announced they will be donating 100% of the proceeds to Leonardo DiCaprio’s Amazon Forest Fund.
Building on France’s President Emmanuel Macron’s fund initiative during the G7, Bernard Arnault, CEO, LVMH announced at the end of August that his Group would be contributing with US$11 million to combat the Amazon fires as part of the “collective effort”. The funds are to be directed toward a fleet of fire-fighting Canadair planes. “Protecting the environment is not just about words and speeches or signing declarations of principle, it also requires taking concrete collective actions when dangers arise in order to provide resources for local specialists and work together to save our planet,” said Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Board Member of LVMH and environmentalist activist.
