Recently LASRA had the honour to participate in the 33rd International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Congress in Brazil.  The biennial IULTCS is the leather world’s premier science event, and provides an opportunity to discuss ideas with the most important figures involved in leather science and research. This year it was held in the heart of Brazil’s traditional footwear producing area in Southern Brazil and included a wide range of very topical lectures, posters and technical meetings of the various commissions such as IUE, IUF, IUR etc.

LASRA’s two delegates presented 4 papers, including an oral presentation of Professor Richard Haverkamp’s work from the Industry/ MBIE Partnership project LSRX0801.
