Some years ago a more modern area measurement table at LASRA was developed with the intent that the design be simple and easy to replicate in industry where desired.
More recently older industrial area measurement systems based on aging analog electronics have been breaking down and becoming difficult to repair and replace. The software and systems designed at LASRA are a perfect fit for these situations.
Based on off the shelf hardware, still readily available (USB camera and windows 7 PC), the LASRA area measurement system can be easily retrofitted to tables or conveyors. The software developed is now being made available at no cost to members who wish to use it.
