An Assistant Research Chemist is sought to engage in innovative research into the interactions of nanoparticles with collagen and leather at the New Zealand Leather & Shoe Research Association Inc. (LASRA®), in Palmerston North, adjacent to Massey University. This important role would suit a graduate-level researcher, with some experience in sol-gel synthesis and nanoscience, to conduct research to understand the interactions between nanoparticles and collagen and improve the bulk properties of treated leathers and raise performance through the application of these reagents.
Laboratory experience is preferred and full training will be given in the specialised techniques required. The position is on a permanent, full-time basis and remuneration will be based on experience.
